Animation tests in the Forest Continued...

These tests were a focus on the opening scenes of my film. These will be later put together alongside animations of Juno to portray the viewpoints from both characters up to their interaction with each other:

1. Callisto walks to the chair and mirror...(I did 4 tests but here are two of them)

This video is still too fast...

I think this one works much better as the audience is able to take in what they're seeing without being rushed.

2. Vanity shot of Callisto putting on lipstick. (Again, here are a couple of several tests I did).

With these two videos, I feel like that the application of the lipstick seems at the right speed but the section where the character runs her fingers through her hair is way too fast. Possibly this could be cut out...

3. Vanity shot of Callisto brushing her hair....

Generally, the brushing motion is fine in the videos, its just the transition from each brushstroke. This was most probably due to the lack of frames between each stroke...

4.  Emphasis of Callisto's pregnancy. (This shot i'm not too sure about as there is no later reference to Callisto's pregnancy, however there needs to be some reference of the character's wrongdoing to justify the punishment given to the character.

In this shot, I had change the size of the bump after a couple of tests as the bump looked ridiculously big and unrealistic compared to the frame of the character. I like the framing of this shot as its close up on the focus of the scene but also the trees in the background give it context.

continued on next post....
